Get ready for an exciting new addition to Cape Coral's vibrant scene – the Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina is now under construction at 1811 Cape Coral Parkway, E., right at the base of the Cape Coral Bridge. This unique, family-friendly waterfront destination is set to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to the area, combining food, fun, and a celebration of Southwest Florida's coastal charm.
A Unique Waterfront Experience in Cape Coral
Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina aims to become a premier spot for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the best of Cape Coral. The park will feature 10 food trucks offering a variety of culinary delights, 30 boat slips for easy water access, a fuel dock, and multiple entertainment options. With seating for 300 guests on a regular basis and up to 500 for special events, Slipaway will be a lively hub for gatherings, events, and everyday fun. The park will showcase live music, shaded outdoor seating pavilions, and a tribute to the endangered smalltooth sawfish, a native of the Caloosahatchee River.
Construction is well underway, with the first phase involving dredging the Mandolin Canal, building a new seawall, laying foundations for all eight buildings and structures, and beginning the groundwork for the Central Pavilion. This pavilion, which will offer 154 seats and a waterfront bar, promises to be a focal point for socializing and relaxation. The next phase of construction focuses on the Ship’s Store located behind the fuel dock, which will provide grab-and-go beverages and exclusive Slipaway merchandise. Additional features include a 120-spot parking lot and 1,370 feet of scenic boardwalk paths, perfect for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. The entire project is expected to be completed by spring 2025.
Gary Aubuchon, owner of Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “We are proud to celebrate all that makes Cape Coral a great place to live, work, and play. This project is yet another exciting opportunity to enhance the region’s growing list of food and entertainment options."
